Got a question about our football programmes, accommodation or facilities? Find what you’re looking for in our FAQs for parents and carers below.
Will my child be transported to and from the training academy?
Yes, players will be picked up every morning from the residence by a private coach, which will take them to the City Football Academy. At the end of each day, the coach will take them back to the residence.
How many hours of football training are there?
On our Football Development and Football Performance Programmes, players will have 15 hours of practical football training sessions and 15 hours of interactive workshops over 5 nights. There will be regular breaks and lunch hours every day. Similarly, our Football Language Programmes consist of 15 hours of practical football training sessions and 15 hours of English lessons per week.
Will my child meet a professional player or be scouted by Manchester City?
While our programmes take place at the City Football Academy, where the Club’s professional teams train, we cannot guarantee that our players will meet any professionals or be scouted for professional teams.
What does my child need to bring with them?
A checklist will be provided on confirmation of the programme.
What size groups will my child train in?
Players will train in groups of sixteen or less to ensure players benefit from personalised and hands-on learning.

When and where should I take my child on the first day?
All players should arrive at our residence on a Sunday by 16:00, ready to start the programme on Sunday evening.
Will I be compensated for a late arrival or missed lessons?
We do not offer compensation for late arrivals and/or lessons, activities and excursions missed as a result of not arriving on time.
What will my child do in the evenings?
Each evening, players from our Football Language, Football Development and Football Performance Programmes will team up for fun activities at the residence. 3 out of 5 nights a week the Manchester City coaches will run immersive sporting activities for the players such as Yoga, Circuit Training and Football matches.
Is there somewhere safe my child can keep their valuables?
Valuables such as passports, cash and mobile phones can be safely locked away at the residence by the Centre Manager. Should players wish to access their valuables at any point, the Centre Manager will be able to assist.
Does my child need to play for a club or school team to join your programmes?
It is not a requirement that your child plays for a football club or school football team in order to join our programmes. However, the Football Performance Programme is intensive and designed for players who are looking to take their game to the next level. With that in mind, we recommend that players attending this programme are committed to improving and are prepared to work hard.
Will my child be expected to wash their football kit?
We provide a free daily laundry service for your child’s training kit. If your child would like to wash their own personal clothes during their stay, self-service laundry machines are available at the residence (extra costs may be incurred).
Can my child stay for longer?
Depending on the programme, we might be able to extend your child’s stay – but this will be at an additional cost. Players can stay at the residence on the final Friday night for £95 or £330 per person for extra weekend Friday night/Saturday night including full day excursion on Saturday. Please contact us for further details.
Do you offer day football camps?
All of our programmes are residential for a fully immersive experience. Day camp options are not available.
What languages do the coaches on your programmes speak?
All of our programmes are taught in English. For many years, we’ve welcomed players from all over the world and many of them do not speak English but are typically able to acclimatise very well to the camp.
